Legal Disclosures

The Legal Services Network is a PAID ADVERTISEMENT. The Legal Services Network is not a lawyer referral service, pre-paid legal plan, legal services organization or advertising cooperative. The Legal Services Network is not endorsed, approved or recommended by any State bar association. Attorneys listed in the Legal Services Network pay a listing fee to be included in the Legal Services Network.

The decision to hire or engage the services of an attorney should not be based only on the information contained in this advertisement. Any decision regarding which attorney to engage should be based on an independent investigation of all facts and circumstances that the user deems relevant in making the decision. A user of the Legal Services Network has complete discretion in deciding which attorney to retain, if any. Any selection of an attorney by a user shall be the sole responsibility of the user, and neither the Legal Services Network, nor Signature Agency, Inc. or any of Signature Agency, Inc.'s affiliates, nor AARP or any of its affiliates shall have liability therefore. A user shall utilize the Legal Services Network at its own risk. The Legal Services Network makes no representation regarding, and does not guarantee the likelihood of, a user finding to the user's liking or satisfaction an attorney through the Legal Services Network.

The Legal Services Network makes no promise, warranty or other guarantee about the completeness, accuracy or truthfulness of the information contained in the Legal Services Network. The information contained in the Legal Services Network, including, but not limited to, each listed attorney's contact information and areas of practice, is provided and based on representations by, and is the responsibility of, the attorney. At the time an attorney submits an application to be listed in the Legal Services Network, the attorney must (i) represent that he or she has been admitted to practice law for three years prior to submission of the application, (ii) have purchased malpractice insurance with required per claim and aggregate limits, and (iii) be in good standing in the state(s) in which he or she is admitted.

The Legal Services Network does not verify the representations of the attorneys, except on an annual basis the Legal Services Network will contact each attorney's state(s) of admission to the legal bar and confirm the attorney's standing. The Legal Services Network, also on an annual basis, will request a copy of a certificate of insurance from each listed attorney as evidence that the attorney has maintained malpractice insurance with the required limits. The Legal Services Network makes no representation as to the terms of, or scope of coverage afforded by, such insurance, or the ability of the insurance company to pay any claims made against such insurance.

The Legal Services Network does not recommend or endorse any listed attorney and/or the services he or she provides. The Legal Services Network also does not guarantee or make any representations regarding the competence, the integrity, honesty or trustworthiness of, the specialist nature of the qualifications of, the quality of advice provided by, or the ability or suitability of, any listed attorney. The fact an attorney has indicated in the Legal Services Network that he or she practices law in one or more areas of practice is not intended to imply or constitute a representation that such attorney is more expert or competent than any other attorney in that practice area. In addition, such an indication also does not mean that the attorney is a specialist in such practice area, possesses specialized knowledge in such practice area, or has been certified by any state bar association or any other organization as a specialist or expert in such practice area. Listed fees are subject to change with 90 days notice.

The listed attorneys are not employed or screened by Signature Agency, Inc. or any of its affiliates. In addition, the fact an attorney is not listed in the Legal Services Network should not create an inference that the Legal Services Network has evaluated or made any judgment with respect to such attorney. The fact an attorney is listed in the Legal Services Network is not intended to imply and should not be interpreted to mean that such attorney is more capable or more qualified than any attorney not listed in the Legal Services Network.

The attorneys listed in the Legal Services Network are not permitted to use Signature Agency, Inc.'s nor AARP's name, logo or intellectual property in any manner and are prohibited from representing to users or other third parties that they are in any way affiliated with or endorsed by Signature Agency, Inc. or any of its affiliates.

The Legal Services Network is not a law firm, does not render legal services and is not, and does not intend to hold itself out as, a law firm. The Legal Services Network or the use thereof does not establish an attorney/client relationship. Also, the Legal Services Network will not interfere with or influence a user's choice of attorney and will not have the ability to, nor will it, influence or affect, any relationship between a user and any attorney it chooses to retain or with whom it chooses to communicate. All communications between users of the Legal Services Network and an attorney should not be shared with any person representing or employed by the Legal Services Network or Signature Agency, Inc. or any of Signature Agency, Inc.'s affiliates or AARP or any of AARP's affiliates. The Legal Services Network will not verify or attempt to verify that any fees charged to users are reasonable or are consistent with promised discounts or advertised fixed fee arrangements. It is entirely the responsibility of each user to make sure that the terms on which it engages an attorney listed in the Legal Services Network are acceptable to user. Fixed fees, if any, quoted in the Legal Services Network do not include costs, if any. The Legal Services Network shall not share in any legal fees paid or payable by a user to a listed attorney.

The information contained in the Legal Services Network and this website does not, and shall not be construed to, constitute legal advice. The effectiveness of any legal advice rendered by an attorney should depend on the attorney's familiarity with the underlying facts; thus, nothing provided in this website or in the Legal Services Network should be considered a substitute for the informed advice of an attorney. The Legal Services Network also will not advise users of the Legal Services Network on legal issues and will not request any information about the legal issues of any such user.

The Legal Services Network is not and shall not be liable for any claim, loss, cost or liability that arises out of or relates to a user's use of the Legal Services Network or any attorney that provides or fails to provide legal services to the user, the provision by an attorney of false or misleading information to the Legal Services Network or the failure of an attorney to meet its responsibilities under the rules and regulations of the state(s) in which the attorney is licensed to practice law. The Legal Services Network fully disclaims any and all liability directly or indirectly arising out of or relating to the information contained in, use of or services available through the Legal Services Network or for the results or consequences of any representation of a user of the Legal Services Network by an attorney listed in the Legal Services Network.

Alabama: No representation is made that the quality of the legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers.

Alaska: The Alaska Bar Association does not accredit or endorse certifying organizations.

Delaware: The listing of areas of practice does not represent official certification as a specialist in those areas.

Florida: The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision. Before you decide to hire the lawyer, ask that lawyer for written information about that lawyer's qualifications and experience. A Florida lawyer will furnish to a potential client upon request: (1) a factual statement detailing the background, training, and experience of each lawyer or the law firm; and (2) written information setting forth the factual details of the lawyer's experience, expertise, background, and training in such matters if the lawyer limits his or her practice to special types of cases or clients. Memberships and offices in legal fraternities and legal societies, technical and professional licenses, and memberships in scientific, technical and professional associations and societies of law or field of practice do not mean that a lawyer is a specialist or expert in a field of law, nor do they mean that such a lawyer is necessarily any more expert or competent than any other lawyer.

A description or indication of limitation of practice does not mean that any agency or board has certified such lawyer as a specialist or expert in an indicated field of law practice, nor does it mean that such lawyer is necessarily any more expert or competent than any other lawyer.

All potential clients are urged to make their own independent investigation and evaluation of any lawyer being considered. This notice is required by the Supreme Court of Iowa.

Background information includes a factual statement detailing the background, training and experience of each lawyer or law firm. Nevada: A lawyer must have available in written form for delivery to any potential client a factual statement detailing his or her background, training and experience. The form must contain the lawyer's full name and business address; date and jurisdiction for initial admission to practice; date and jurisdiction of each subsequent admission to practice; and name of law school and year of graduation. Anyone considering a lawyer should independently investigate the lawyer's credentials and ability.

All attorney listings are a paid attorney advertisement, and do not in any way constitute a referral or endorsement by an approved or authorized lawyer referral service. Any certification as a specialist, or any certification in a field of practice, that does not state that such certification has been granted by the Supreme Court of New Jersey or by an organization that has been approved by the American Bar Association, indicates that the certifying organization has not been approved, or has been denied approval, by the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the American Bar Association.

New Mexico: Any certification by an organization other than the New Mexico Board of Legal Specialization does not constitute recognition by the New Mexico Board of Legal Specialization, unless the lawyer is also recognized by the board as a specialist in that area of law.
